Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Project (Espoo, Finland)
Salary: €100,000 - €110,000 + Accommodation + Transport + Rotation 17/4 + €1,000 Living Cost p/m

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a major data centre project in Espoo, Finland. This position is site-based and involves working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality mechanical systems and installations.

The Mechanical Engineer will support technical delivery, design coordination, procurement, and oversight of mechanical services throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage communication with clients and project stakeholders
• Lead or support design management activities
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure mechanical and MEP services integrate seamlessly
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities
• Complete all HVAC-related deliverables in alignment with project and safety standards
• Coordinate installation sequencing for pipework and mechanical systems
• Oversee procurement of plant, materials, and specialist subcontractors
• Support installation works to achieve the required quality standards and programme milestones
• Assist with commissioning activities and final project handover
• Document and cost changes to scope, and support monthly valuations and final accounts

Requirements

• Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within an M&E contracting environment
• Strong design management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
